Julie A. Gedro, MBA, SHRM-SCP, EdD, is the Dean of the School of Business at SUNY Empire State College. She holds a B.A. in Economics and English from the College of William and Mary, an M.B.A. in Business Information Systems from Kennesaw State University, and a Doctorate of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from the University of Georgia. Dr. Gedro is a Society of Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She is Series Editor of the Palgrave Macmillan book series, Palgrave Explorations in Workplace Stigma, and Past- President of the Academy of Human Resource Development. Dr. Gedro is a recipient of several awards including the State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities; the Susan H. Turben Award for Excellence in Scholarship; the Jane Altes Prize for Exemplary Community Service; and the Arthur Imperatore Fellowship.
