Yoshie Tomozumi Nakamura is an Assistant Professor of Human and Organizational Learning at the George Washington University. Her areas of research interest include empathy in leadership, neurobiology of adult learning, women in leadership, and social networks. Dr. Nakamura is currently studying adult learners’ mind, brain and behavior focusing reflective practices in leadership development and empathic leadership. Prior to joining the faculty of George Washington University, she served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University whereby she taught Facilitate Adults Learn with Neuroscience in Mind. She also worked as Head of Academic Learning and Neuroscience at Columbia Business School’s Executive Education department whereby she directed Neuroscience to Enhance Leadership Development program and Future of Learning Forum as well as taught Women in Leadership program. She provided executive coaching for leaders across industries and countries as well.
