Abstract: This study adds to our understanding of moderation and mediation processes through which training satisfaction is linked with the transfer of training. This article attempts to examine the relationship between training satisfaction and transfer of training through the intervening role of transfer motivation. This study also investigates the moderating effect of job satisfaction between training satisfaction and transfer motivation. The data were collected using a self-administered survey from 172 banking employees of twin cities (Rawalpindi and Islamabad). The hypotheses were examined by applying Partial least square structure modeling. The results showed that training satisfaction has a positive impact on the transfer of training through the intervening mechanism of motivation to transfer. Further, the findings revealed that job satisfaction has an insignificant moderating role between training satisfaction and motivation to transfer. The study adds to the existing literature by examining the potential moderator and mediator between training satisfaction and transfer of training.
