Abstract: The Covid 19 pandemic has forced many employees to work from home to minimize the effect of the virus. But this imposed arrangement can impact the employees’ mental health in the long run; positively and negatively. Furthermore, the role that HRD (Human Resource Development) practitioners can play in supporting their employees has not been extensively researched or examined. This systematic literature review paper examines the impact of working from home on employees’ mental health and identify the means in which HRD practitioners can support their employees. Findings of the research presented positive impacts related to Family and Performance, and negative impacts related to Family, Employee Health, and Performance and Productivity. In addition, the findings indicated that HRD practitioners can support employees through stress relief trainings, supportive family programs, limiting employees’ work schedules, and offering trainings to employees to attain relevant skills and knowledge to help them grow in their current environment.
